Philippine Coast Guard - Technical Working Group conducted its 1st Inter-Agency Meeting on the revision of Memorandum Circular 01-2006 otherwise known as "Rules on Prohibiting the Dumping and Discharging of Waste and other Harmful Matters" last May 7, 2009 which was attended by different Government Agencies like DENR, NAMRIA, DOT, BFAR and NATELCOM.

Successful launching of Static Display last May 30 2009 in connection with MEPCOM's 11th Founding Anniversary at the Manila Ocean Park with about 300 participants (Kids and Adult) joined the hand painting in promoting the Marine Environmental Protection.
In celebration of the 11th founding anniversary, the Marine Environmental Protection Command (MEPCOM) conducted mangrove planting in Barangay Bucana, Ternate, Cavite last June 06, 2009 with Dra. Ana Marie Tamayo as the Guest of Honor. The activity was participated by HMEPCOM Officers and Enlisted Personnel headed by Commodore Arturo Olavario PCG, 116th Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA) Squadron, 126th PCGA Squadron, Brgy Officials and residents of Brgy Bucana, Cavite PGENRO, and Ternate PNP Personnel numbering about one hundred fifty (150) persons in all and a total of one thousand six hundred (1,600) mangrove propagules were planted in the said coastal barangay.
